Hayselden Volkswagen - Showroom and Service Centre Merger.

The motor industry has seen some significant changes over recent years. The trend of building larger showrooms which cover larger areas is now commonplace.

With this in mind our South Yorkshire based Volkswagen showrooms and service centres will be merging leading to the closure of our Barnsley dealership on Friday 18th July 2025.

This decision does bring with it great sadness especially when considering the loyalty of both staff and customers since T Hayselden Barnsley was formed 51 years ago.

I am therefore, delighted to say that many of our existing Barnsley team will transfer to Doncaster. You can expect the same familiar greeting and continued unparalleled levels of customer service which we have prided ourselves on giving since my grandfather Tom Hayselden originally started at Wath upon Dearne back in 1959. With customer care continuing to be the guiding principle of the business during the many years my father Mick Hayselden and now myself have led the company.

We look forward to speaking to you soon and continuing to take care of all your motoring needs. In the meantime, we have prepared a section below which will provide answers to any immediate questions you may have.

You don't need to do anything at this stage. If your sales executive has not already been in touch they will be soon. They will discuss your handover and make any necessary arrangements.

You don't need to do anything at this stage. If your sales executive has not already been in touch they will be soon.


I have a service booked BEFORE the 18th July. What do I do?

Attend your appointment as planned.


I have a service booked BETWEEN the 19th - 31st July. What do I do?

You don't need to do anything right now. If you booking is between the 19th and 31st July, a member of our service team will be in touch soon to discuss your options.


I have a service booked AFTER the 1st August. What do I do?

You don't need to do anything right now. We will start to send out emails to all of our service customers on Monday 23rd June. This will outline the options that will be available to you, whether you subscribe to a Volkswagen Service Plan or just use our services as and when needed.

We are looking to put in place additional services, including collection and delivery options. These options can be discussed when bookings are made.
